ADDITION is the Anglo-Danish-Dutch Study of Intensive Treatment in People With Screen Detected Diabetes in Primary Care.

ADDITION Cambridge is an extended data set containing information about screening, baseline, 1-year follow-up and 5-year follow-up from Cambridge only, for the ADDITION study. We also hold more limited data sets for all the European centres (see the ADDITION-Europe pages), information on the screening round in Cambridge, and data related to the ADDITION-Plus and ADDITION-10% sub-studies.

Baseline, 1yr and 5yr data collection are all complete for this study. The management of all phase data is centralised in the Epidemiology Unit including all data for ADDITION-Europe (cleaned in collaboration with the ADDITION Denmark staff). This database follows the Unit's generic model and standardises its structure and management to match other studies for data sharing.

Release 1:
Interim release containing minimal information essential for genetics analysis. Superseded by release 2.

Release 2:
Full release of all ADDITION Cambridge data from screening, baseline, 1-year follow-up and 5-year follow-up measurements. We anticipate the data dictionary for this data set being available by summer 2012.
